Billy Bones

Billy sent me his guitar tracks for the title cut, "Ahab" and let me tell you that his parts have transformed the song into a force to be reckoned with. I'm working on preliminary mixes on my Pro Tools rig so I should have something close to a final mix by the weekend.

Just in case you're curious, the first part of the album is rather upbeat and fun - with Ishmael meeting Queequeg and the ship getting underway - but after Bulkington falls into the ocean during the night when the Pequod, "thrust her vindictive bows into the cold malicious waves" it begins to get very, very dark musically. Let's face it - it has to! All save one will die - right?
